About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage syllabus materials, including tests, assignments, and online discussion exercises.
- Facilitate class instruction for a variety of courses, including studio drawing (1 and 2), 2D/3D design, and lecture courses such as Art Appreciation and Art History.
- Coordinate courseware and curriculum development with the academic department chair and full-time faculty.
- Evaluate student performance using course deliverables and rubrics.
- Manage grading and student records via Blackboard, Canvas, and the Colleague Self-Service Portal.
- Participate in departmental "close the loop" meetings at the end of each term.
Requirements
- MFA or a terminal degree in Fine Arts.
- Proven experience teaching studio and lecture-based art courses.
- Proficiency in syllabus and curriculum development.
- Experience with student assessment, grading, and academic record-keeping.
- Technical proficiency with Blackboard, Canvas, and Colleague Self-Service.
