Visual Arts Faculty

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage syllabus materials, including tests, assignments, and online discussion exercises.
• Facilitate class instruction for a variety of courses, including studio drawing (1 and 2), 2D/3D design, and lecture courses such as Art Appreciation and Art History.
• Coordinate courseware and curriculum development with the academic department chair and full-time faculty.
• Evaluate student performance using course deliverables and rubrics.
• Manage grading and student records via Blackboard, Canvas, and the Colleague Self-Service Portal.
• Participate in departmental "close the loop" meetings at the end of each term.

Requirements

• MFA or a terminal degree in Fine Arts.
• Proven experience teaching studio and lecture-based art courses.
• Proficiency in syllabus and curriculum development.
• Experience with student assessment, grading, and academic record-keeping.
• Technical proficiency with Blackboard, Canvas, and Colleague Self-Service.
