About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular cloning, cell culture, confocal imaging, and data analysis
- Design, perform, and analyze experiments focused on mammalian cell culture
- Isolate and expand cells from murine and human tissues
- Perform cell survival assays and transfection of mammalian cells
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation including centrifuges, electrophoresis, and confocal microscopes
- Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications
- Instruct and train undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory techniques
- Maintain clear and detailed records of procedures and experiments
- Communicate and present data to the Principal Investigator and lab members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedicine, Medicine, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or relevant biological sciences
- Training in histology, rodent brain dissection, and stereotaxic surgeries
- Experience with fluorescent microscopy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in biology or biomedicine
- Prior experience with biomedical research (basic or clinical)
- Experience with animal behavioral techniques
- History of prior scientific publications
- Experience writing grants, fellowships, or scientific reports
