About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct and analyze experiments investigating how sex hormones affect behavioral and signaling deficits in rodent models related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Perform animal husbandry, genotyping, and maintenance of the mouse colony.
- Execute behavioral testing and molecular analysis of intracellular signaling pathways.
- Perform hormonal interventions following adult gonadectomy.
- Compile and analyze data using appropriate statistical methods to support research directions.
- Maintain clear and detailed laboratory records and data in shared locations.
- Assist the Principal Investigator with lab organization, supply ordering, and student training.
- Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and scientific presentations.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in a relevant scientific field.
- Experience with rodent handling procedures in a research laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in molecular biology approaches.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis of experimental data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior laboratory experience specifically working with rodents.
- Expertise with animal models of intellectual disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
