Visiting Researcher, FAIR (University Grad)

Responsibilities

• Lead primary and secondary research to design and implement rigorous, scalable Computer Use Agent (CUA) data quality standards and validation frameworks.
• Architect scientifically sound task creation methodologies and annotation guidelines to ensure datasets are accurate, reproducible, and representative.
• Conduct deep-dive data integrity research to identify systemic biases or quality gaps, mitigating risks for AI model training.
• Partner with data science, software engineering, and operational teams to translate research methodologies into executable data pipelines.
• Establish statistical baselines and key quality metrics to evaluate and audit CUA data health across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Master’s or PhD degree in a quantitative or research-heavy field.
• Demonstrated experience conducting empirical research, data curation, or designing complex data collection and annotation methodologies.
• Deep expertise in establishing data quality control frameworks, statistical sampling, and data governance.
• Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a highly quantitative or empirical research field.
• Experience designing and scaling data quality frameworks or human-in-the-loop (HITL) annotation methodologies for Machine Learning, NLP, or LLM foundation models.
• Familiarity with user behavior log data or defining complex interaction taxonomies.
• Proven track record of building data governance metrics and quality baselines from scratch in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to translate abstract research methodologies into clear operational pipelines for cross-functional partners.
