About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach and advise undergraduate students within the Department of Psychology
- Supervise student research projects
- Participate in departmental activities and the life and culture of the department
- Teach undergraduate research methods and statistics courses
- Develop course content and materials that support learning outcomes
- Prepare, administer, and grade assignments and examinations in a timely manner
- Maintain appropriate office hours and provide timely communication to students
- Utilize instructional technology including Banner, Blackboard, and Starfish
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related field (Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred)
- Strong knowledge of psychological theory, research, and practice
- Ability to teach statistical software such as SPSS and/or R
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging, inclusive instruction
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage course responsibilities independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree with experience teaching multiple areas of psychology
- Experience with active learning methodologies
- Experience teaching diverse student populations
