Visiting Lecturer, Musical Theatre and Dance

Responsibilities

• Direct musical theatre productions for the University Theatre
• Provide applied voice and acting instruction to students
• Teach courses such as Introduction to Theatre, Special Topics in Theatre, and Singing Styles
• Recruit high-caliber students from local and regional areas
• Cultivate productive partnerships with school and community theatre programs
• Collaborate with faculty across departments to produce concerts and theatrical events

Requirements

• Earned Master of Music, MA, MFA, or Doctorate with a specialization in musical theatre or voice
• At least three years of experience in musical theatre

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional performance experience as a vocalist in musical theatre
• Extensive knowledge of musical theatre repertory and the professional theatre industry
• Proficiency in various singing styles, including pop, rock, gospel, and jazz
