About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach organic chemistry I & II and general chemistry lecture and lab courses for the health sciences.
- Engage in faculty development and mentoring opportunities for undergraduate chemistry teaching.
- Attend departmental meetings and chemistry seminars.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
- Contribute to departmental assessment goals.
- Perform research or engage in scholarship, with or without student involvement.
Requirements
- MS in Chemistry (preferably organic chemistry) or a PhD candidate/ABD in Chemistry.
- University-level teaching experience (lecture or lab).
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Organic Chemistry.
- Specific experience teaching organic chemistry lecture courses.
