About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach four courses per semester within the Augustine and Culture Seminar Program (ACSP)
  • Lead interdisciplinary, reading and writing-intensive first-year seminars
  • Facilitate discussion-oriented instruction for small student groups (capped at 16 students)
  • Support students in completing significant writing requirements (minimum 30 pages per semester)
  • Contribute to the life of the Program by participating in faculty teaching development activities

Requirements

  • Prior experience teaching multi-disciplinary, discussion-oriented, and writing-intensive seminars
  • Experience teaching first-year seminar curricula
  • Willingness to support a humanistic exploration of Villanova’s Catholic and Augustine mission and tradition
