Visiting Assistant Professor, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Core Faculty member of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program
• Teach a total of eight graduate classes per year
• Provide graduate student advising
• Assist with CACREP accreditation efforts
• Assist in the development and implementation of continuous program evaluation and improvement
• Cooperate with the Program Director and CACREP liaison in curriculum development, syllabus preparation, and selection of curricular materials
• Participate in Department, College, and University meetings
• Model the University Mission through dedicated job performance and respectful collaboration

Requirements

• Doctorate in counselor education and supervision
• 1-3 years of teaching experience in a college setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Clear counselor educator identity
• Clinical and supervisory experience working with students and clients of diverse backgrounds
• Evidence of scholarship in the counseling education field
• Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Illinois
• Demonstrated cultural competent teaching and counseling practices
• Evidence of scholarly potential
