About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Core Faculty member of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program
- Teach a total of eight graduate classes per year
- Provide graduate student advising
- Assist with CACREP accreditation efforts
- Assist in the development and implementation of continuous program evaluation and improvement
- Cooperate with the Program Director and CACREP liaison in curriculum development, syllabus preparation, and selection of curricular materials
- Participate in Department, College, and University meetings
- Model the University Mission through dedicated job performance and respectful collaboration
Requirements
- Doctorate in counselor education and supervision
- 1-3 years of teaching experience in a college setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Clear counselor educator identity
- Clinical and supervisory experience working with students and clients of diverse backgrounds
- Evidence of scholarship in the counseling education field
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Illinois
- Demonstrated cultural competent teaching and counseling practices
- Evidence of scholarly potential
