Visiting Assistant Professor/Opera Coaching

Responsibilities

• Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars in opera coaching
• Evaluate and develop curriculum for the department and college
• Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework
• Participate in university governance, meetings, and college or university committees
• Supervise independent study activities, graduate committees, and off-campus learning
• Engage in research, scholarly, and professional creative activities relevant to the academic specialty
• Render service to the professional community

Requirements

• Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution in an appropriate field
• For Performing and Studio Arts, an appropriate Master's degree may replace the Doctoral requirement
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research
• Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
