Visiting Assistant Professor of Music

Responsibilities

• Conduct Cathedral Choir (second-year mixed ensemble)
• Conduct Norskkor (first-year tenor/bass ensemble)
• Teach two sections of an introductory music education course for first-year students
• Mentor undergraduate students across music, music education, and musical theatre programs
• Contribute to a liberal arts environment by teaching both music majors and non-majors

Requirements

• Doctorate degree (Assistant Professor rank) or Master's degree (Instructor rank) in music
• Demonstrated excellence as a choral director
• Experience as an instructor in a public education setting
• Ability to teach and conduct a variety of musical styles
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and belonging among students of diverse backgrounds
