Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Teach two undergraduate courses per semester, including introductory courses and organic chemistry
• Engage in scholarly activities and research within the field of chemistry
• Contribute to an inclusive learning environment that supports a diverse student population
• Participate in the academic life of the Department of Chemistry and the broader college community

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry or a related field (must be completed by the date of appointment)
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the undergraduate level
• A clear scholarly focus and research interest
• Commitment to inclusive excellence and supporting diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in organic chemistry
• Experience with artificial intelligence initiatives or computing software in a chemistry context
