About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses for Biochemistry majors and support classes for Biology and Nursing programs
- Deliver a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours per semester
- Teach a one-year sequence of either General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry, including associated laboratory components
- Incorporate the College’s Catholic Benedictine mission into teaching, service, and scholarship
- Articulate scientific insights within the context of the liberal arts educational tradition
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry or an associated field
- Ability to teach General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry with labs
- Commitment to the Catholic Benedictine mission and the education of the whole person
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (Applications from ABD candidates will be accepted)
- Experience teaching within a liberal arts framework
- Ability to integrate scientific study with the Catholic understanding of the human person
