About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach general chemistry lectures (CHEM 115) and laboratory courses (CHEM 115 and 116)
- Instruct general, organic, or biochemistry courses (CHEM 105)
- Hold regular student office hours to support student learning
- Attend regular departmental meetings and participate in faculty activities
Requirements
- Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely allied discipline (required for Visiting Assistant Professor level)
- Master's degree or ABD status (required for Instructor level)
- Must have degree(s) in hand by September 1, 2026
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Submission of a cover letter, CV, unofficial transcripts, and a teaching philosophy statement addressing inclusive learning environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in chemistry or allied discipline
- Previous college-level teaching experience
