Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Biology

Responsibilities

• Teach three courses per semester, including first-year foundational lecture and laboratory sequences in Ecology and Evolution.
• Deliver upper-level lectures in Conservation Biology and Evolutionary Biology.
• Facilitate upper-level Ecology courses with laboratory components, incorporating field experience (terrestrial or aquatic).
• Utilize active-learning approaches and experiential laboratory instruction to engage students.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.
• Demonstrated ability and desire to engage students through active learning and inclusive teaching practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology or a related field.
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
