Visiting Assistant Professor, Data Science and Statistics

Responsibilities

• Teach two undergraduate courses in each of Lawrence’s three ten-week terms
• Contribute to the growing statistics and data science program and the new Data Science and Statistics major
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
• Utilize computational tools such as R or Python in teaching data analysis and statistics

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field is required
• Ability to teach a variety of undergraduate statistics and data science courses
• Proficiency in R or Python

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in statistics, biostatistics, data science, mathematics, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience teaching courses involving data analysis and computational tools
