Visiting Assistant Professor - Counselor Education

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core faculty member in the CACREP-accredited Counselor Education terminal master’s program
• Teach master's-level courses, specifically core courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC)
• Supervise student practicum and internship experiences
• Assist with practicum and internship placement processes
• Participate in CACREP-related administrative duties and departmental/university-wide committees
• Provide high-quality instruction and mentorship to students

Requirements

• Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program (ABD is not acceptable)
• Licensed or licensed-eligible in the state of New Jersey
• Strong track record of teaching and service in the counseling field
• Ability to teach core CMHC courses at the master's level
• Commitment to high-quality instruction and student mentorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) specific leadership
• Experience related to administrative opportunities within a counseling program
