About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach an average of 12 contact hours per semester of lecture and/or lab courses for majors and nonmajors
- Instruct general chemistry for science majors, GOB courses for allied health students, and general education chemistry for non-science majors
- Participate in ongoing professional development in chemistry, chemical education, and the scholarship of teaching and learning
- Engage in departmental service, including committee involvement and new course design
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry
- One academic year of college-level teaching experience as the primary instructor in chemistry or a closely related field
