Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach in-seat, hybrid, and/or online courses within the Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Nutrition Science programs
• Design and deliver courses using a competency-based education model and innovative teaching modalities
• Advise and mentor students, including guidance on capstone projects
• Collaborate with other health programs on interprofessional education and initiatives
• Engage in scholarship, professional development, and departmental service roles

Requirements

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Master's degree in nutrition or a nutrition-related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in nutrition or a related field (PhD, DCN, DrPH, or EdD)
• Recent practice experience in acute or ambulatory care as a dietitian
• Advanced practice credentials (e.g., CNSC, CDCES, or CDR Board Certified Specialist credentials)
• Previous teaching experience at the post-baccalaureate level
• Experience with online pedagogy and ACEND accreditation standards
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
