Vision Inspection Machine Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain production inspection equipment to ensure continuous manufacturing.
• Monitor machine operation, diagnose process issues, and perform necessary machine adjustments.
• Execute regular preventive maintenance (PM) plans and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
• Handle programming software, gather images, and apply foundational deep learning concepts.
• Perform root cause analysis and document incidents and equipment performance.
• Install and maintain electrical and mechanical components including relays, sensors, servo drives, and encoders.
• Calibrate machines to maintain performance and support Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA).
• Coordinate with production and engineering departments to optimize inspection conditions and reduce quality issues.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (relevant production experience in automated machines/IT may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products for reporting purposes.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment, including wearing full PPE and clean room suits for up to 12 hours.
• Ability to work onsite with flexibility for adjusted shifts and occasional travel (up to 5%).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Vision Technician in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Hands-on experience with Vision and Inspection systems in a production setting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and layout diagrams.
• Knowledge of Gauge R&R, Six Sigma, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
