Virtualization Backup Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation
• Act as a technical focal point in relationships with fellow IT Professionals
• Take ownership of customer issues from case creation through resolution across Veeam, Microsoft, and VMware components
• Document all customer interactions accurately and within SLA in the CRM tool

Requirements

• Fluent English and German (reading, writing, speaking)
• Advanced Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025) and Windows 10/11 administration
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and networking configuration/troubleshooting (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS)
• Ability to quickly learn and explain technical information
• Ability and desire to take ownership of client issues through resolution
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• UNIX and/or Linux knowledge
• VMware ESX(i) or Microsoft Hyper-V experience
• Microsoft Exchange server administration
• Database engines (SQL/Oracle)
