Virtualization Backup Engineer

Responsibilities

• Performing troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation
• Acting as a technical focal point in relationships to fellow IT Professionals
• Taking ownership of customer issues from inception through resolution
• Troubleshooting Veeam products and 3rd party components like Microsoft and VMware
• Documenting all customer interactions accurately within the CRM tool

Requirements

• Fluent Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Advanced administration skills with Windows Server (2016-2025) and Windows 10/11
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and networking (NAT, ports, DHCP, DNS)
• Ability to learn and explain complex technical information quickly
• Strong time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux
• Experience with VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Microsoft Exchange server administration
• Database engine experience (SQL/Oracle)
