Virtual Design Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Execute BIM/VDC coordination across multiple active projects
• Act as the primary liaison between VDC, Project Managers, field teams, engineers, and trade partners
• Ensure models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with current design and field conditions
• Manage model quality, including constructability, completeness, and version control
• Oversee clash detection processes and drive timely resolution of coordination issues
• Coordinate production of shop drawings, installation drawings, and other project deliverables
• Provide technical leadership and support to VDC coordinators and modelers
• Maintain and improve VDC workflows, file management practices, and internal procedures
• Support adoption of new technologies such as 3D scanning and reality capture
• Respond to field issues, design discrepancies, and coordination challenges

Requirements

• Completion of college program in Mechanical or CAD CAM Technology
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
• BIM/VDC experience in a construction or fabrication environment
• Strong understanding of constructability, sequencing, and coordination
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
