VIP Interiors Mechanic III

Responsibilities

• Install, fit, and assemble VIP aircraft interior components including panels, monuments, upholstery, cabinetry, flooring, and decorative finishes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, installation instructions, and work orders accurately
• Ensure all installations meet quality standards, specifications, and FAA regulations
• Perform layout and preparation work including measurements, marking, cutting, and pre-fitting materials
• Modify interior parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve installation challenges
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain organized work areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six years of interior installation experience, preferably in VIP or VVIP aircraft completions
• US Citizenship required due to special access facility requirements
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Proficiency with hand and power tools related to interior installation
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and work in confined or elevated spaces
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in aircraft interiors or a related field
• Knowledge of aircraft cabin safety standards and FAA regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of lean or continuous improvement techniques
