About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform removal, installation, fabrication and refurbishment of aircraft interior components such as galleys, cabinets, lavatories, and decorative finishes
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine specifications
- Manufacture and assemble interior components using wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal, and veneers
- Ensure proper fit and alignment of panels, trim, furniture, and hardware
- Repair or replace damaged, missing, or defective parts
- Inspect and troubleshoot interior components and coordinate corrective actions
- Provide technical guidance and support to lower-level mechanics
- Accurately document work performed and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- 4-6 years of recent experience in VIP aircraft interior installation or fabrication
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documents
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Knowledge of composite materials including wood, honeycomb, and fiberglass
- US Citizenship required due to special access facility requirements
- Ability to work overtime, varied shifts, and travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
