VIP Interiors Mechanic II

Responsibilities

• Perform removal, installation, fabrication and refurbishment of aircraft interior components such as galleys, cabinets, lavatories, and decorative finishes
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine specifications
• Manufacture and assemble interior components using wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal, and veneers
• Ensure proper fit and alignment of panels, trim, furniture, and hardware
• Repair or replace damaged, missing, or defective parts
• Inspect and troubleshoot interior components and coordinate corrective actions
• Provide technical guidance and support to lower-level mechanics
• Accurately document work performed and maintain a clean work area

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• 4-6 years of recent experience in VIP aircraft interior installation or fabrication
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documents
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Knowledge of composite materials including wood, honeycomb, and fiberglass
• US Citizenship required due to special access facility requirements
• Ability to work overtime, varied shifts, and travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Applicable Repairman, Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
