Video Streaming Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Manage audio profiles and design cadence for audio distribution
• Support and maintain video on demand infrastructure
• Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of the entire video workflow from encoding to CDN delivery
• Handle video feed acquisition setup, monitoring and troubleshooting
• Support live streaming events during NFL game windows including nights and weekends
• Configure, test and implement appropriate codec settings for live and VOD streaming
• Conduct daily inspections of video streaming infrastructure
• Maintain documentation of hardware maintenance, configuration, and installation
• Cultivate relationships with vendors and partners to improve video quality of service

Requirements

• BS degree and/or equivalent experience
• Proven video streaming and media workflow experience
• In-depth knowledge of streaming technologies
• Experience with live streaming encoders such as Elemental or Anvato
• Experience with QoS Monitoring and CDN Portals
• Knowledge of CDNs, Cloud Providers, OVPs, and encoding hardware/software
• Strong knowledge of Video Content Management Systems, video player development, and video security
• Experience with different encoding technologies
• Linux administration experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and late nights
