Video Podcast Editor

Responsibilities

• Make final cut of video podcasts from transcript/producer’s rough cut
• Color correct and optimize footage for digital and broadcast platforms
• Use Pro Tools and/or Audition to de-noise audio for video cuts
• Establish best setup for in-person and remote recordings
• Collaborate with graphics department to develop GFX packages
• Create and order graphics for individual video episodes
• Upload videos to MPX/YouTube distribution platforms
• Cut and edit podcast video clips for social media
• Cut and mix host-read ads
• Support production on bonus content

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of video & audio production experience
• Deep technical understanding of codecs, containers, and frame rate
• High-level expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Descript
• Strong camera operation knowledge (DSLR, mirrorless, iPhone/prosumer)
• Experience in Pro Tools and/or Audition
• Ability to handle multiple projects under deadline
• Willingness to work in New York, NY
• Willingness to work varied and unpredictable shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Livestream/video switching knowledge (TriCaster, VMix)
• Collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive problem solver
