Video Editor Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Ads) with a focus on audience retention, visual hooks, and dynamic subtitling.
• Edit long-form content (Podcasts, YouTube videos) including multicam synchronization and cleaning up speech patterns.
• Perform color grading to ensure skin tone accuracy and visual consistency across Blackmagic 4K footage.
• Execute audio mixing, including EQ, compression, and noise reduction for high-quality Shure microphone captures.
• Manage digital assets, file organization, and platform-specific exports (ProRes, H.264, H.265).
• Collaborate closely with studio operators to ensure seamless project workflows and meet tight 72-hour delivery deadlines.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in intensive digital content editing.
• Advanced mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects) or DaVinci Resolve.
• Solid understanding of colorimetry (Rec.709, camera matching) and audio processing.
• Deep knowledge of social media codes, algorithms, and safe zones.
• Strong organizational skills regarding data management and file naming conventions.
• A mandatory showreel or portfolio demonstrating proficiency in both short and long-form formats.
