Victorian State Lead – Resource Recovery

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety-first culture across all Victorian operations, ensuring high standards of accountability and compliance.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Victorian Organics & Resource Recovery business.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with government agencies, regulators, councils, and industry stakeholders.
• Drive the development of the organics and resource recovery strategy to identify growth opportunities and maximize value recovery.
• Support and develop site leadership teams to achieve operational, commercial, and safety excellence.
• Oversee the safe operation of facilities involving logistics, manufacturing processes, and heavy equipment.
• Identify and deliver initiatives to improve business performance, efficiency, and commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience within resource recovery, waste management, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial services.
• Proven experience managing complex stakeholder environments, including government and regulatory bodies.
• Strong commercial capability, including contract negotiation and market development.
• Experience leading operationally focused businesses within safety-critical environments.
• Demonstrated understanding of governance, compliance, and operational performance management.
• Experience with industrial operations involving heavy equipment, mobile plant, or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups and lead organizational change.
