Victoria Class Submarine Trainer

Responsibilities

• Serve as an On-Site Representative (OSR) to support the VICTORIA Class Trainers In-Service Support contract
• Work closely with uniformed instructors at the Naval Fleet School (Atlantic) at the Submarine Training Facility
• Support the operation and maintenance of submarine training systems at CFB Stadacona

Requirements

• VICTORIA Class Submarine Qualification
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
• Secondary school education or successful completion of QL6A training within the Canadian Forces
• Minimum of one year of experience within the last seven years in the operation or maintenance of real or simulated diesel submarine electrical systems
• Ability to pass security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the operation or maintenance of diesel submarine air, hydraulic, or diesel generator systems
• Experience with submarine external communications systems
• Experience preparing training courses and materials, and instructing others through formal or informal training
• Knowledge of configuration management practices
• Technical knowledge of VICTORIA Class systems, including Main Propulsion Switchboards (MPS), Automatic Voltage Frequency Regulators (AVFRs), Fire Detection Systems (FDS), and Machinery Control Systems
