Vice Principal

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic management of data, assessment, and target setting to ensure aspirational academy-wide goals are met.
• Lead teaching, learning, and assessment initiatives, providing professional learning opportunities to maintain high classroom standards.
• Drive effective behaviour and inclusion strategies to meet the needs of all students within and beyond the classroom.
• Collaborate with the Academy Leadership Group to determine strategy and implement academy policies and procedures.
• Manage delegated budgets effectively and participate in the appointment of new staff members.
• Monitor, evaluate, and review progress within line-managed faculties to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience at a senior leadership level, including experience as a Deputy or Vice Principal.
• Proven track record of raising student achievement as a subject leader across at least two key stages.
• Experience delivering high-quality INSET to teaching staff and using coaching to support professional development.
• Demonstrated success in managing and implementing change at a whole-school level.
• Strong ICT skills and experience using new technologies to enhance student achievement.
• Experience in innovative curriculum development and presenting to wide audiences.
