Vice Principal, Academic

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for academic programs
• Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of curriculum
• Oversee academic quality, accreditation, and compliance
• Manage clinical placements and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders
• Support Program Chairs and faculty through recruitment and professional development
• Manage academic and departmental budgets and resource allocation
• Lead strategic initiatives and new program development
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Health, Health Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in academic or healthcare environments
• Proven expertise in human resource management and workforce planning
• Experience managing budgets and resources effectively
• Advanced conflict management and negotiation skills in a unionized environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
