Vice President, Sports Business

Responsibilities

• Set and advance communications strategy for multiple high-profile clients
• Manage daily client communications and build strong relationships
• Lead account teams to ensure quality of work, goals, and deadlines are met
• Engage and maintain strong relationships with key reporters
• Write and edit persuasive documents including press releases, op-eds, and talking points
• Mentor and lead staff through consistent feedback and professional growth support
• Drive business development through RFP responses and new client cultivation

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications (in-house for sports, media, or journalism)
• Deep experience in media relations
• Demonstrated interest in professional sports and sports business
• Proven people management skills with experience leading diverse teams
• Exceptional client-service and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
