Vice President, Space Systems Software

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business unit’s strategic plan to achieve revenue growth and profitability
• Identify emerging market trends and customer needs in satellite flight and ground software
• Drive revenue growth by working with Business Development to expand customer relationships
• Oversee the development of innovative satellite flight and ground software solutions
• Drive operational efficiency through resource allocation and process optimization
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team across engineering and operations
• Own the P&L for the organization and manage budgets and forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field
• 12+ years of leadership experience with a focus on software products
• Proven experience leading software businesses
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Strong financial acumen and P&L management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree in engineering or computer science
• Active security clearance
• Experience partnering with government agencies or defense contractors
• Deep understanding of satellite flight and ground software technologies
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and cloud computing in aerospace
