Vice President, Risk and Control - Digital Engineering

Responsibilities

• Define, create, and govern the Digital Engineering Risk and Control strategy in alignment with EMEA Technology IT Risk and Control vision.
• Manage the department's operational, regulatory, and financial risk appetite and framework.
• Define and evolve Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and controls for Digital Engineering Services and Solutions.
• Lead the department's Risk/Control/Audit monthly forum, providing high-quality reports and insights to the Extended Leadership Team.
• Act as the primary contact for all risk, control, and audit issues across Digital Engineering teams.
• Provide assurance over control design and effectiveness, ensuring they are embedded in day-to-day activities.
• Partner with Product and Platform owners to advise on risk management for new products, processes, and change programs.
• Oversee the management of open issues, tracking proactive remediation and timely closure.
• Lead and champion an inclusive, diverse, and values-led risk culture within the department.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading and managing risk and control functions within a regulated financial services environment.
• Proven track record of managing risk-related issues for large technology departments through the full lifecycle of reporting and remediation.
• Proficiency in scenario analysis and the development of mitigation strategies.
• Deep understanding of COBIT and NIST 2 frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements including SOX, FCA, AML, and data privacy.
• Experience working within infrastructure environments (network, server, database, storage).
• Experience using risk management tools such as Open Pages.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical specialists and building effective partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL Expert certification.
• CRISC, CISA, or CISM certification.
• Advanced professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or an MBA.
• Prince 2 Foundation certification.
• Knowledge of authentication services technology.
