Vice President, Product Manager - Payments

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Technology, Design, and Analytics to define and deliver customer journeys and platform strategies, including 0–1 initiatives
• Own the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch, stabilization, adoption, and continuous improvement
• Translate business and platform outcomes into clear requirements, KPIs, and user stories
• Shape and challenge technical requirements to ensure solutions are scalable, reusable, and consistent with platform patterns
• Partner with engineering to influence technical design and ensure solutions meet resiliency, performance, and observability expectations
• Manage roadmap sequencing, prioritization, trade-offs, and agile execution
• Establish strong production ownership, including monitoring, incident response, and defect prioritization
• Ensure a strong risk and controls environment by partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Governance teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management, payments, or financial services
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex products in large, matrixed organizations
• High technical fluency in APIs, service-based architectures, and integration patterns
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and the end-to-end product development lifecycle
• Strong operational and risk orientation for managing reliable services in production
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in money movement, digital wallets, or payment processing
• Experience building and scaling reusable platform capabilities and microservices
• Prior 0–1 build experience in cloud-native, high-throughput architectures
• Background in fintech or large-scale consumer payments platforms
