Powerhouse Arts (PHA) is a not-for-profit organization committed to creative expression. Located in a purpose-built facility in Brooklyn, PHA convenes an extended network of art and fabrication professionals and educators who co-create and share artistic practices vital to the well-being of artists and the communities to which they belong.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, strategic fundraising plan to support annual operating and capital needs
• Lead and direct fundraising efforts to build relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and government agencies
• Oversee and mentor a three-person Development team
• Devise action plans for the President and Senior Management team to act as Development ambassadors
• Create a systematic method of donor moves management
• Oversee the research, writing, and preparation of all grant proposals and sponsorships
• Motivate and strengthen the Board in its development role
• Oversee the planning and execution of a future capital campaign

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in non-profit development in leadership roles
• Proven record of raising $100 million+ over a career
• Extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies for art and cultural non-profits
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing and motivating executives and team members
• Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
