Vice President of Engineering, Fiat Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Own the full fiat infrastructure domain including control plane, execution plane, and network layer
• Define clean, reusable interfaces for all product teams
• Maintain operational standards for real-time corridor health and prefunding visibility
• Build an AI-native engineering organization using agentic development practices
• Expand Ripple's fiat network through banking partnerships and global licensing deployment
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and BizDev to influence global licensing strategies
• Partner across Payments, Custody, Stablecoin, and Markets as a shared platform owner

Requirements

• Deep experience operating fiat payment infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions
• Strong understanding of payment rail mechanics such as ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, and Faster Payments
• Proven experience building unified, shared core infrastructure platforms for multiple internal teams
• Strong architectural judgment regarding reusable platform layers
• Experience operating live financial networks with a focus on reliability
• Ability to engage credibly with banking partners, regulators, and commercial counterparties
• Track record of building trust across engineering, product, and operations teams
