Vice President of Construction and Design

Responsibilities

• Lead design, facilities, and construction teams for all new and existing restaurants
• Manage all project phases from site feasibility through store turnover
• Build and scale a high-performing Design and Construction team
• Oversee architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure brand alignment and competitive pricing
• Implement project management systems to track progress, budget, and timelines
• Optimize construction budgets and drive cost efficiency
• Review and red-line construction drawings for brand compliance
• Create standard design packages and prototypical plans
• Oversee permit and inspection processes, including code compliance and utilities
• Monitor and resolve field-level construction issues and contractor disputes
• Lead the development of a maintenance handoff process post-opening

Requirements

• 10-15 years of related experience, QSR experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Proven success in rapid growth brand environments
• Strong finance acumen
• Based in NYC or close proximity
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to self-manage timelines and run projects from inception to completion
• Familiarity with reviewing and marking up plans
• Superior interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel as needed
