About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary and operational leadership across all academic programs, faculty, and student learning initiatives
- Develop and articulate a vision for academic growth and curriculum innovation
- Lead faculty recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and professional development
- Oversee program assessment, curriculum mapping, and accreditation compliance (ACCSC, WSCUC, ABET)
- Manage the academic division budget and contribute to institutional strategic planning
- Implement student success strategies to support retention and academic progress
- Teach courses as needed based on area of expertise
Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering, education, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated leadership experience in higher education academic administration
- Experience in faculty supervision, development, and evaluation
- Working knowledge of accreditation standards and processes
- Experience in curriculum development and program assessment
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree
- Experience at a career-focused or technical institution serving non-traditional students
- Familiarity with hands-on and laboratory-based instructional models
- Experience leading WSCUC, ABET, or comparable accreditation processes
- Background in engineering, technology, or a related technical discipline

- Paid Sick Leave: 40 hours per calendar year
- Paid Vacation: 40 hours in the first year; 80 hours annually from the second year
