Vice President of Academic Affairs

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary and operational leadership across all academic programs, faculty, and student learning initiatives
• Develop and articulate a vision for academic growth and curriculum innovation
• Lead faculty recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and professional development
• Oversee program assessment, curriculum mapping, and accreditation compliance (ACCSC, WSCUC, ABET)
• Manage the academic division budget and contribute to institutional strategic planning
• Implement student success strategies to support retention and academic progress
• Teach courses as needed based on area of expertise

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering, education, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated leadership experience in higher education academic administration
• Experience in faculty supervision, development, and evaluation
• Working knowledge of accreditation standards and processes
• Experience in curriculum development and program assessment
• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree
• Experience at a career-focused or technical institution serving non-traditional students
• Familiarity with hands-on and laboratory-based instructional models
• Experience leading WSCUC, ABET, or comparable accreditation processes
• Background in engineering, technology, or a related technical discipline
