Vice President, Medical Director

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of medical communication projects across Commercial Medical Communications, Medical Affairs, and Publications accounts.
• Serve as the scientific lead on multiple accounts, providing strategic direction and ensuring scientific rigor and accuracy.
• Oversee content development and supervise scientific team members from Associate to Director levels.
• Build, manage, and grow strong pharmaceutical client relationships through regular communication and on-site visits.
• Contribute to scope creation, budget development, and resource planning in collaboration with Client Services.
• Lead business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities based on agency capabilities.
• Manage and mentor scientific staff, providing proactive feedback and fostering professional development.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD).
• 7+ years of experience in a medical communications agency setting.
• Extensive therapeutic category expertise and ability to interpret complex data.
• Proven track record of establishing and growing pharmaceutical client relationships.
• Strong experience managing, mentoring, and motivating scientific teams.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical standards, compliance, and regulations.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and project management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
