Vice President, Legal Entity Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and reporting of legal entity financial statements for US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Ensure robust controls across multiple stakeholders, legal entities, and regions.
• Provide day-to-day direction to the local team and take responsibility for stakeholder deliverables.
• Manage FX risk through trade-out and capital hedging in accordance with FASB requirements.
• Monitor general ledger controls, including inter-entity breaks, IFRS reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare regulatory reporting in compliance with US Fed requirements and management information summary decks.
• Conduct periodic financial statement analysis, including balance sheet, P&L, and off-balance sheet reporting.
• Implement internal controls and migrate to strategic data sourcing platforms to enhance efficiency.
• Lead strategic conversations for system implementations and finance transformation initiatives.
• Manage people and careers, engaging team members to maintain motivation and professional growth.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent Finance Degree.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large data sets.
• Proven people management skills and ability to lead a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex issues.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of work experience, preferably in Financial Services or an accounting/controller background.
• Flexibility to work shifts that cover Latin America and North America engagement.
