Vice President - Legal Counsel (Corporate)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice regarding key business initiatives and transaction documentation structures.
• Review a wide range of commercial contracts, including technology, franchise, sponsorship, and outsourcing agreements.
• Support corporate procurement and technology teams with template production, contract negotiation, and training.
• Manage external law firms by providing clear instructions and overseeing legal spend.
• Research and evaluate legal risks to offer proactive advice on business decisions and operations.
• Maintain accurate records of legal advice and negotiated documents while ensuring compliance with internal governance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties.

Requirements

• Law Degree or equivalent legal conversion qualification.
• Common law qualified.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in legal services.
• Proven experience as legal counsel within a business environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant UAE laws and the ability to conduct independent research.
• Expertise in commercial contract review, including technology-related agreements.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working as an in-house lawyer within the UAE.
• Demonstrated interest in legal AI applications.
