About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead CMBS large loan and SASB origination by analyzing property financials, rent rolls, and cash flows.
- Prepare comprehensive origination and credit materials, including loan applications, asset summaries, and internal approval memos.
- Coordinate transaction execution by collaborating with originators, credit, legal counsel, and third-party consultants from intake through closing.
- Manage rating agency and B-buyer processes by responding to diligence inquiries.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within the platform.
- Monitor market trends to inform execution strategies and pricing decisions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, reviewing underwriting work and modeling outputs.
- Maintain the deal pipeline and provide timely status updates to management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Client Management experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) experience, including underwriting, property analysis, and cash flow modeling.
- 4+ years of Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) experience, including familiarity with rating agency methodologies.
- Strong financial modeling capabilities with the ability to stress-test complex CRE cash flow models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel (complex formulas and modeling functions).
- Experience with industry tools such as TREPP, Argus, CoStar, Moody’s Analytics/REIS, or Bloomberg.
- Demonstrated experience across major asset classes including office, retail, multifamily, industrial, and hospitality.
