About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the cash and par reconciliation team, providing guidance and acting as the first level of escalation for all reconciliation issues
- Manage daily reconciliation processes including cash, par, and non-custody reconciliations with custodian banks and paying agents
- Direct fund administrators and custodian banks on process trends and review output for accuracy to identify root causes
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs to track workflow trends and issues
- Maintain high standards of quality control to ensure breaks are escalated and resolved in a timely manner
- Participate in decisions regarding policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee audit-related inquiries and work with internal and external auditors on SOC 1 controls and testing
- Manage relationships with custodian banks, agent banks, and administrators
- Contribute to process efficiency improvements and risk mitigation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a business-related discipline
- 10-12 years of investment management operations experience with a heavy emphasis on reconciliation
- Expertise in credit, fixed income, derivatives, and FX, specifically bank debt and high yield/alt credit
- Proficiency in Wall Street Office and Geneva
- Strong understanding of loan industry standards and financial intermediary activities
- Experience working with custodian and agent banks
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PowerBI, Python, or similar technologies
- Experience working with outsource or offshore service providers
- Background in Hedge Fund, Credit, or Private Equity environments
