Vice President in Finance Technology

Responsibilities

• Manage offshore teams and oversee the delivery of finance technology assignments, including software engineering and application deployment.
• Direct software engineering tasks and participate in the design, development, and deployment of applications to meet business requirements.
• Act as a liaison between onshore and offshore teams, handling conflicts, escalations, and day-to-day activities.
• Document and implement best practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure code remains optimal, readable, and clean.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to junior staff and small project teams.
• Function as an internal consultant for application support and lead large, complex projects with enterprise-wide impact.
• Validate that functional requirements are met and conduct formal implementation reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in offshore team and people management, specifically in an onshore-offshore model.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical teams within the financial services or banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of Data Integration, ETL, and RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Advanced understanding of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Oracle EPM, Oracle ERP Cloud Services, or OFSAA solutions.
• Experience with Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning, HFM, or Oracle DRM.
• Knowledge of user provisioning and administration of Oracle SaaS applications.
• Experience designing ad-hoc reports or templates utilizing Smart-View Add-in.
