Vice President (Identity) Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own and define the strategic roadmap for the Identity & Data Layer, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and reliability.
• Lead and inspire an engineering organization of approximately 50–60+ people.
• Drive the evolution of identity resolution and identity graph systems, including deterministic and probabilistic matching.
• Establish the data layer as a context engine for Zeta’s AI-native platform to enable real-time features and embeddings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, marketing, and product teams to integrate identity services across the platform.
• Ensure strict compliance with global privacy and data governance standards, such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop top engineering talent and create robust succession plans.
• Partner with executive leadership on investment, prioritization, and long-term business alignment.

Requirements

• 12+ years of engineering leadership experience, specifically leading large-scale identity or data platforms.
• Proven experience managing organizations of 50+ people, including directors and senior managers.
• Deep domain expertise in identity resolution, identity graphs, and data enrichment.
• Strong understanding of data engineering design patterns, including Data Lakehouse, Zero-Copy Data Sharing, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with data technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Iceberg, Spark, or Aerospike.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data governance, privacy, and global compliance standards (GDPR/CCPA).
• Exceptional communication and strategic leadership skills.
