Vice President, Government Relations

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute government relations strategy across federal, state, and local stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, agency leadership, and legislative staff
• Support customer engagement and strategic growth initiatives in coordination with business development
• Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory, budgetary, and policy developments
• Shape policy positions and messaging related to national space initiatives and aerospace priorities
• Represent Apex within trade associations, industry groups, and government-facing forums
• Advise leadership on political engagement strategy and PAC priorities

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in government relations, legislative affairs, or public policy within aerospace or defense
• Deep experience with HAC-D, SAC-D, HASC, SASC, HPSCI, SSCI, or the Executive Branch
• Strong understanding of U.S. Government budgeting and acquisition processes
• Proven ability to build senior-level relationships across government and industry
• U.S. Person status required for export-controlled data access
• Active TS/SCI security clearance or willingness to apply for one
