Vice President (Full-Stack Engineer- Java)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using both front-end and back-end technologies
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Integrate software components into fully functional systems
• Consult with Product and Business groups to provide high-level application development services
• Actively participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Analyze business situations and provide recommendations to resolve issues for specific business groups

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5 to 12 years of software development experience with proficiency in Java and Front-End UI technologies
• Extensive experience with Angular, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, ORM, and Spring Data
• Experience working with Oracle or SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of Web Services, RESTful APIs, and messaging frameworks like IBM MQ or Kafka
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and unit testing frameworks (Karma, Jasmine, JUnit)
• Familiarity with AI coding-assist tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the securities or financial services industry, specifically focusing on Equities
• Understanding of trade life cycles for equities
• Experience designing and implementing new systems and features across platforms
• Background in production support and the ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure
• Experience with application profiling, debugging, and caching frameworks
