About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all advancement and development efforts for the American Indian College (AIC) campus, including annual giving, major gifts, and capital initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with institutional goals and mission priorities.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors, alumni, churches, tribal leaders, and community stakeholders.
  • Strengthen partnerships with Assemblies of God churches, Native ministries, and supporters of Christian higher education.
  • Collaborate with the President and Executive Team to advance strategic vision, enrollment growth, and long-term sustainability.
  • Provide leadership and accountability for advancement personnel, volunteers, and operations.
  • Represent Nelson AIC at conferences, ministry gatherings, and community events locally and nationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in advancement, fundraising, or nonprofit leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, donor development, and relationship management.
  • Must be a committed Christian in agreement with the doctrinal positions of the Assemblies of God.
  • Active involvement and regular attendance in an Assemblies of God church or a church aligned with Assemblies of God doctrine.
  • Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with tribal communities, Native ministries, or alumni constituencies.
  • Familiarity with advancement systems, donor databases, and fundraising technologies.
  • Sensitivity to the unique spiritual and cultural mission of the American Indian College campus.
